Much research gives the Apple Pie Anglo-Saxon origins. It was made famous when British colonized the American territories and the locals liked it so much that it became a national icon so much to take the name of American Pie. Actually if we go back in time we find the Apple Pie as early as 1300 in France. In one of the first recipe books of the famous cook Guillaume Tirel, we find the description of how carry it out, obviously with ingredients regularly used in those days, like dried onions, which were inserted together with the apples to give more sweetness. Anyway, it is in the north region of Italy, Trentino, that Apple Pie found its sanctification as it is the territory where the best apples grow.
